Job Summary

 

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and upkeep of our facilities while supervising and training Housekeeping Staff and Participants. Your work will be crucial in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for everyone at Lambs Farm.

 

The Role:

 

  • Perform cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance of assigned buildings.
  • Supervise and train Participants in cleaning, sanitation, chemical safety, and safe working practices.
  • Operate and maintain mechanical cleaning equipment safely.
  • Manage and enforce Emergency Safety Procedures and Housekeeping Manuals.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Manage and track housekeeping supplies and inventory.
  • Inspect areas for repairs, generate work orders, and test light bulbs, exit signs, and emergency lights.
  • Attend safety and training meetings as directed.
  • Complete required annual training.
  • Support Special Events by working additional days or hours as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of related janitorial work experience.
  • Experience with hand tools and mechanical cleaning equipment.
  • Experience working with developmentally disabled adults is a plus.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Completion of mandatory training within 120 days of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license with no violations in the past year.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and walking, including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Basic computer skills: accurate typing, navigating websites, entering and recalling data, using word processors and spreadsheet software, managing emails, and familiarity with digital communication etiquette and techniques.
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
