We're expanding our innovative Quest program to help more adults with developmental disabilities build essential life skills and confidence. About This Opportunity

As our Quest Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to design and teach skill-building classes that directly impact participants' growth and independence. You'll work both on our beautiful Libertyville campus and in community settings, creating engaging learning experiences tailored to different ability levels. This role offers the perfect blend of classroom instruction and community engagement, with 10% local travel using agency vehicles, which brings learning to life in real-world settings.

What you'll accomplish:

• Design engaging classes that help participants develop practical life skills and build lasting confidence
• Create innovative lesson plans that work for participants with diverse learning styles and ability levels
• Lead community-based learning experiences that connect classroom skills to real-world applications
• Develop new curriculum ideas based on participant interests and emerging skill-building opportunities
• Build supportive relationships that encourage personal growth and community involvement

What you bring to this role:

You bring experience working with people and a passion for helping others learn and grow. Your natural teaching ability and creativity help you adapt instruction methods to meet different learning needs, while your organizational skills ensure smooth program delivery. You're someone who values each person's unique potential and finds satisfaction in celebrating small victories that lead to big changes in confidence and independence.

• High school diploma and valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to adapt teaching methods for different learning styles and abilities
• Willingness to complete Direct Support Professional certification within 120 days
