Summary
We're seeking a Sales Manager to generate revenue across all our business units through direct sales operations and strategic partnership development. This role manages the complete sales cycle from prospecting to customer relationship management while ensuring alignment with our organizational mission and Participant development objectives.
The Role
- Create and implement comprehensive sales plans that maximize revenue opportunities across all business units
- Identify prospective customers through multiple channels, including wholesale and co-packing opportunities
- Execute lead generation campaigns and manage the conversion process from prospect to customer
- Build and maintain customer databases with systematic follow-up processes
- Establish sales targets and monitor the sales pipeline to ensure predictable revenue streams
- Maintain accurate records and reports on all sales activities and performance metrics
- Coordinate with operations and production teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment
- Process customer payments and collaborate with accounting team on collections activities
- Conduct market research and identify emerging growth opportunities through partnerships
- Represent organizational values in customer interactions while supporting Participant development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of progressive sales experience with demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience with both direct sales and partnership development
- Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience implementing CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with presentation abilities
- Customer service skills to address client concerns and build relationships with diverse audiences
- Analytical skills for financial analysis, reporting, and performance tracking
- Cultural sensitivity appropriate for inclusive environment, working with adults with developmental disabilities
- Background in nonprofit, social enterprise, or mission-driven organizations preferred
- Ability to travel up to 15% and work flexible hours including occasional evenings/weekends
