Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Operations Support Specialist responsible for logistics and inventory control, customer service, animal care, and assisting program participants with developmental disabilities. This versatile role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to our community-focused mission.
The Role
- Train and supervise adults with developmental disabilities in various operational tasks.
- Manage inventory processes, including receiving, storing, picking, and packing.
- Accurately pick and deliver orders for retail stores in the community and supplies for campus departments, ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Process shipments for online and wholesale orders.
- Provide customer service through phone communication and in-person interactions.
- Operate registers accurately and maintain organization in production/store areas.
- Assist with animal care and support the adoption process.
- Support special events and perform other operational duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Adaptability to changing environments with ability to handle varied daily tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with visitors, customers, and participants.
- Meticulous attention to detail for maintaining inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and record-keeping.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Proficiency in writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including accurate typing, navigating websites, entering and recalling data, using word processors and spreadsheet software, managing emails, and familiarity with digital communication etiquette and techniques.
