Lambs Farm is dedicated to helping people with developmental disabilities lead productive, happy lives and connecting with the human spirit in us all. We are looking for Recreation Specialist and this is flexible full time position from morning to evening during the week. 

Responsibilities

Recreation Specialists are involved in Special Olympic sports training and coaching. Recreation Specialists also lead and supervise traditional recreational activities, monitor Participants in a gym setting and manage assigned tasks. Recreation Specialist must be able to drive a 15 passenger van. 

Requirements

• High School Diploma with some related experience, minimum. Preferred Bachelors in Physical/Special Education
• Exercise Science, Therapeutic Recreation, Wellness, Sports Management or related field
• Valid Illinois driver's license, with a good driving record
• Ability to physically train and assist persons in sports and fitness activities
• Direct Support Person (DSP) certification must be completed within 120 days of employment.
